Phillip Schofield has opened up about meeting Dec Donnelly’s baby daughter for the first time.
Dec and wife Ali Astall welcomed their first child together, a little girl called Isla Elizabeth, last month.
During a chat with I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp presenters Scarlett Moffatt, Joe Swash and Joel Dommett on Tuesday’s This Morning, Phil revealed he’s already met Dec’s little one and described the tot as “gorgeous”.

Phil explained: “I went round to Dec’s house the other day to see the new baby.”
Joe cut in: “How’s the baby?” to which Phil gushed: “She’s gorgeous. Gorgeous Isla.”
Phil went on to admit he couldn’t believe how prepared Dec is for this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, which he will co-host with Holly Willoughby.
He said: “He had all his clothes folded up already!” to which Joe joked: “He doesn’t do that himself!”
Earlier this month, Phil and his wife Stephanie were pictured visiting Dec, Ali and their new baby while carrying a bunch of gifts.
The new parents welcomed their daughter on September 1 and announced the happy news to fans on Twitter.
Alongside a photo of the baby’s tiny hand gripping onto Dec’s finger, the doting dad wrote: “Ali and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our baby girl, Isla Elizabeth Anne, who was born just after 9 o’clock this morning.
“Mother and daughter both doing well, Dad is head over heels! D.”

Dec’s TV pal and best friend Ant McPartlin also tweeted at the time: “Welcome to the world baby Isla Elizabeth Ann. Can’t wait for cuddles. I love you already. Uncle Ant.”
Later in the month, Dec celebrated his 43rd birthday and told fans he received an adorable message apparently from his baby girl.
His tweeted: “I’ve had the loveliest of birthdays. I got a card from my 3 week old daughter, she’s very advanced.
“Although her handwriting looks suspiciously like that of the dog (I suspect he wrote it really).

Dec is now preparing to fly out to Oz to co-host I’m A Celebrity with This Morning presenter Holly.
The show is expected to return sometime next month.
