Olly Murs gets rejected by pop star live on air

Who wouldn't want to date The Voice star?!

Olly Murs was left red-faced on this morning’s Sunday Brunch after he was rejected live on air by popstar Bebe Rexha.

The Dance With Me Tonight singer offered to date the 29-year-old when she admitted she was looking for a British boyfriend on the Channel 4 show.

“Are there any cute, single, English guys out there that wants a girl that can cook?” she asked as she whipped up a dish with hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer.

Single Olly, on the other side of the studio waiting to taste what she cooked with other guests including Jon Richardson, raised his hand and shouted: “I’m over here!”

But Bebe replied: “No, no, I won’t date another singer,” to the surprise of Tim and Simon.

“Olly Murs is a national treasure, why not Olly Murs? You’d be lucky to get Olly Murs,” Tim said defending his singer like his dating wingman.

Looking a little offended and embarrassed by the rebuff, Olly then joked: “You will not be lucky to have me, let me tell ya.”

The 34-year-old recently admitted in an interview that he would love to find love again after being single for the last three years.

He’s also joked that he could try and meet someone via his role on The Voice – although he admitted he wasn’t sure if he was allowed to date the contestants!

Sunday Brunch decided to help him out and tweeted following his humiliation at the hands of Bebe: “Any takers for a date with @ollyofficial? Thinking about changing this show to a dating one  #SundayBrunch.”

Of course he wasn’t then short of offers with one fan tweeting, “me, me me!” and another telling him: “”I’m single @ollymurs.”
