Legendary rocker Rod Stewart was left looking sheepish after he admitted to cheating on Penny Lancaster on today’s episode of Loose Women.
The 73-year-old cringed as he watched footage of his wife, 47, discussing the fling during one of her appearances on the show as a panellist last year.
And guest Rod was unable to hide his blushes as he was grilled over straying as he sat next to Penny during Friday’s programme.
“He tried tell me it was just one his daughter’s friends – but I said no and gave him an ultimatum,” the model said in the clip, explaining she was not prepared to be anything but the only love in his life after finding a snap of him with another woman.

“What time does this show end?” an embarrassed Rod pantomimed, looking at his watch.
“You’re talking a long time ago, twenty odd years ago,” the Grammy award winner continued, in an attempt to justify his behaviour.
“There was one dalliance, yeah, but otherwise we’ve been together and it’s been wonderful,” added Rod, affectionately putting his hand on top of Penny’s.
Father of eight Rod also spoke openly about how the couple’s youngest son Aiden, seven, was conceived through IVF.

Seeking permission from Penny to broach the subject of his sperm, Rod enthusiastically described how he observed them under a microscope as part of the procedure.
“We analyse the sperm on a big screen,” he said.
“A lot of them are crippled, they’ve got no wings.”
Rod remembered with a smile: “We were just waiting for one to go up and we said, “Look at this one – it’s swimming up there!
“We got that one sperm and that one turned out to be our little son Aiden!”
