Nadia Sawalha added: “We know Christine is so beautiful but I think she looks her most beautiful [in this picture].”

Andrea added: “The baby is named Patricia Charlotte Lampard and Patricia is the name of Frank’s mum, who passed away in 2008 and the baby is named after her.”

The show’s official Instagram account also sent a message to Christine saying: “Congratulations from all of us! We can’t wait to meet little Patricia!”

Fellow Loose Women panellist Linda Robson wrote: “Congratulations to you Christine and Frank. So happy for you both. Beautiful little girl, love the name!”

Andrea also sent her own message, reading: “Such wonderful news for you both. Welcome to the world Patricia.”

Jane Moore added: “Dream come true right there.”

Meanwhile, fellow Loose Women star Ruth Langsford shared her delight while co-hosting This Morning on Friday with husband Eamonn Holmes.

She said: “Very big news to announce, my fellow Loose Woman Christine Lampard has welcomed a baby girl along with her husband Frank. She looks glowing [in her Instagram photo] I hope she wore her lipstick all the way through!”

Christine went on maternity leave from her ITV roles in August; as well as serving on the Loose Women panel, she acts as relief presenter on Lorraine.

She said on her final show before leave: “I feel really good. I feel a bit nervous now, I feel like I’ve been in a lovely bubble for the past few weeks on this show. Now that it’s done, this is going to happen.

“But I feel good, very good.”

There have been rumours that Christine could cut her maternity leave short in order to replace Holly Willoughby on This Morning later this year.

Holly will have to miss a few weeks of This Morning while she’s over in Australia co-hosting I’m A Celebrity with Dec Donnelly.

ITV has yet to announce who will stand in for Holly, but there has been speculation that Christine’s name is in the frame.

However, an insider told Sunday Life over the weekend that Christine wasn’t making any plans about when she may to return to work just yet.

A source said: “Christine loves working with Phil and being on This Morning and usually she would jump at the chance for this opportunity.

“But this is her first child and she has no idea what it’s going to be like when the baby is born.”
