Loose Women had a rather dramatic start on Thursday afternoon when one of the panellists dropped out unwell.
Viewers noticed that just three women – Nadia Sawalha, Carol McGiffin and Jane Moore – were on screen when the show kicked off at 12.30pm.
The reason? Poor Chizzy Akudolu, the fourth panellist, had to go home sick.
Nadia, who was leading the panel, explained: “You will notice we are a panellist down this morning. Poor old Chizzy has come down with a bug so she’s gone home.”
But Nadia went on to say help was on the way!
She told viewers: “We had to call Kaye [Adams] with very short notice and she’s on her way here on a bike – but will she make it?”

A video was then played that Kaye had filmed on her mobile phone just half an hour earlier, saying she was about to get a bike across London to the studio.
Kaye told viewers: “It’s 12 o’clock and I’m not getting on a motorbike to speed my way across to the Loose Women studios. They said ‘come over, we need somebody!’
“I have yesterday’s make-up on. I’ve been up since half five. I look a complete wreck and I apologise in advance, but I’ll see you soon!”
Well, Kaye did make it!
She ran on the set just moments after the show went on air, clutching a coffee cup and waving at the cheering audience.
“Someone threw an espresso in my hand,” she laughed.
The rest of the panel all pointed out Kaye was wearing jeans, something they’re apparently not allowed to do on the show, and Kaye said she also had on flat shoes!
Everyone cooed they were “so jealous”.

Nadia then quipped: “Your shirt is more creased than your face!”
Kaye replied: “You’re glad I don’t take my make-up off at night!”
