Loose Women interview with Stormy Daniels cancelled at last minute

She was due to explain why she pulled out of CBB

Loose Women’s planned interview with adult film star Stormy Daniels was cancelled at the last minute on Friday.

The show had told viewers to expect a chat with Stormy about why she pulled out of Celebrity Big Brother’s launch show on Thursday evening.

But the interview failed to materialise.

Stormy had been billed to appear at 1.15pm to talk about Celebrity Big Brother and her allegations of sleeping with married Donald Trump in 2006 – allegations Trump has vehemently denied.

Panel anchor Kaye Adams explained Loose Women had made contact with Stormy’s representatives at 8am and they’d been back and forth all day over what questions they could ask her before Stormy arrived in the building just after noon.

However, Jane Moore later broke the news to viewers the interview couldn’t go ahead.

Jane had been backstage to speak with Stormy as the other women – Kaye, Penny Lancaster and Nadia Sawalha – kept the programme going with other topics of debate.

Jane then returned to the live show to relay details of her conversation with Stormy.

According to Jane, Stormy said there had been a development in her divorce case back in the US which meant she didn’t want to enter the CBB house and be out of contact with the outside world for several weeks.

Jane recounted: “She thought ‘I can’t commit’, she said being a mother comes first.”

Jane shared photos with Stormy backstage to prove she was really at the Loose Women studio.

Stormy reportedly told Jane she’d asked CBB bosses if she could still appear on the live show to explain why she’d pulled out.

Stormy alleges that was agreed by the show before they changed their minds.

A CBB rep “categorically denied” the claims when contacted by Loose Women.

Jane told the panel: “Needless to say, it has all become a legal situation with lawyers talking to lawyers and she says she has been told she can’t come and talk to us, but she wants to be sitting here.”

Instead, the panel ended the show with a discussion about messy children’s bedrooms.

A statement from Celebrity Big Brother said: “Stormy Daniels was booked to appear on the show several months ago and hours before the show was due to go live, informed the production team that she no longer wished to enter the house as previously agreed.

“Producers discussed a variety of options with her but were unable to agree any acceptable conditions for her entering the house. Our focus is now on making a brilliant series with our fantastic celebrities.”

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV1.

Celebrity Big Brother continues nightly at 9pm on Channel 5.
