Jeremy Kyle viewers in hysterics over Chesney from Corrie lookalike

He was on the show accused of pinching a console

Jeremy Kyle had to get to the bottom of a theft on his latest show but viewers were more interested in one of his guest’s appearance.

They thought Tommy, who was accused of stealing a games console, was a dead ringer for Coronation Street’s Chesney Brown.

Viewers took to Twitter to share their mirth, comparing pictures of the ginger-haired Jeremy Kyle Show guest to the soap character.

Corrie fans have watched Chesney grown up on the soap as he’s been played by Sam Aston since 2003.

They couldn’t believe he has a doppelganger who was accused of being a thief.

Pointing out the comparison between Tommy and the soap character, one viewer tweeted “Chesney did it”.

Another joked they’d have to “fire up the ouija board and ask Schmeichel” referring to Chesney’s beloved late pet pooch.

Another took the soap association even further, saying Tommy could be the lovechild of Chesney and EastEnders’ ginger bad boy Max Branning.

Tommy appeared on the ITV show accused of stealing his dad’s games console along with his brother Davy.

Their older brother Peter pointed the finger at the pair and wanted Jeremy’s help to find out which brother was a thief – as both denied they had taken it.

After getting the brothers to take his trusty lie detector test, Jeremy was able to reveal the results.

“Tommy was telling the truth and you are a little liar!” he shouted at Davy.

He then shook Tommy’s hand as his innocence was confirmed.

The show later tweeted an update on the family writing: “Davy says his dad has forgiven him for stealing from him and he remains close to Tommy, however he says he still doesn’t see eye to eye with Peter.”

Perhaps Tommy should avoid games consoles from now on and consider a career as a lookalike?
